Namur Mount Pilot Operator Asco Spool Solenoid Valves

ASCO Namur (VDI/VDE 3845, ISO 5211) mounted valves directly mount to any Namur interface of the correct size, allowing air piloting local to the pneumatic device being operated, very commonly pneumatic actuators or pneumatic cylinders. Air is controlled through a Namur plate which is the direct interface between pilot valve and pneumatic actuator or air-operated valve. The ASCO E290 air-operated angle seat valve can be supplied with Namur plate adaptor to accept a Namur type 551/327 type solenoid valve. Body materials available are Aluminium, Brass & Stainless Steel.

Key Features

Key features and benefits of the Asco range of Namur Mount Solenoid Valves.
1

Key Features

The ASCO Series 551 is a line of compact solenoid spool valves that can control air or inert gas in challenging environments. The design combines hard T-seals and flexible O Rings for bubble tight shutoff, dirt resistance as well as million cycle reliability.
2

Key Features

The 551 Series is the perfect solution for harsh conditions found in chemical, refining and food & beverage applications. With its durable construction made from aluminum or stainless steel it can withstand abuse while still providing excellent performance.

Key Features

Available in two versions, the first is a mounted device that can be installed directly onto an actuator's interface per VDI/VDE 3845. In addition Asco also offer an alternative threaded Valve for mounting directly to pipe.

Namur Solenoid Valves

551/553 Series of light alloy valves made with a black anodised Aluminium body are spool valves designed for piloting process valves or pneumatic cylinders. These are available with different connections such as BSP or NPT threaded ports, and Namur mount interface that bolts directly to pneumatic actuators or pneumatic cylinders sharing the Namur interface. An option of a Namur plate can even be specified on the E290 range of air-operated angle seat piston valves. 551 & 553 valves can also be selected to have a Brass or Stainless Steel body. The options for solenoid operators on this range of valves is huge and ranges from increased safety through explosion proof, all the way to intrinsically safe operators for the most potentially explosive hazardous areas/zones.
