Wafer Pattern Super Duplex Butterfly Valves

Super duplex TTV Wafer Butterfly Valves made from UNS S32750 offer exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, making them ideal for demanding applications in harsh environments. UNS S32750, also known as 2507, is a super duplex stainless steel alloy that contains a higher chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content compared to conventional duplex stainless steels. This composition enhances the corrosion resistance and strength of the material, making it well-suited for corrosive and high-pressure environments.

Frequent Interrogation

Duplex and 316 stainless steel exhibit a notable distinction in their corrosion resistance. While 316 is renowned for its excellent resistance within the 300 family in corrosive environments, duplex steel surpasses it in resisting corrosive pitting, particularly in the presence of chloride.

Duplex Steel Valves are crafted from a duplex-grade steel known for its exceptional strength and corrosion resistance, featuring both austenitic and ferritic phases in its microstructure. This metallurgical composition enables the application of these valves across a diverse range of industrial scenarios.

Super duplex refers to a category of high-performance stainless steels formulated with approximately 25% chromium content in their alloy composition. True to their duplex designation, these alloys exhibit a microstructure composed of both austenitic and ferritic grains of steel.

2205 Stainless Steel is far superior to standard marine grade 316 and 316L. 2205 Stainless Steel has been developed over the last 10-20 years by metallurgists that required a stainless that was not only stronger than standard marine grade 316, but offered much better corrosion resistance.

Our duplex steel grades 2507 and 4501 are regarded as super duplex stainless steel grades. They are highly alloyed and have a corrosion resistance comparable to high performance materials.

No.

Super Duplex stainless steels are based around an alloying addition of 25% chromium, whereas duplex stainless steels are based around an alloying addition of 22% chromium. By increasing the chromium content, the level of pitting corrosion resistance is also increased.

The typical Duplex filter valve system comprises two individual strainers connected through a ball valve with integrated pressure compensation. Additionally, a valve handle is positioned between the two baskets, enabling the redirection of liquid flow to one strainer while the other undergoes the cleaning process.

Super Duplex is a hybrid austenitic-ferritic alloy composed of iron, chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. Exhibiting excellent resistance to pitting, high tensile strength, and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking at moderate temperatures, it surpasses conventional austenitic stainless steels in performance.

Super duplex stainless steel is essentially duplex stainless steel, but with additional characteristics. It possesses 25% chromium content, 7% nickel content, and 4% molybdenum content. Because it possesses more of each element, it has higher resistance to corrosion than does duplex stainless steel.
