Frequent Interrogation

A PTFE Lined Wafer Stainless Steel Actreg Actuated Butterfly Valve is an automated flow control device featuring a stainless steel body and a PTFE lining for maximum corrosion resistance. The Actreg pneumatic actuator provides precise and reliable valve operation using compressed air.

PTFE lining offers exceptional chemical resistance, prevents contamination, and ensures long service life even in aggressive or corrosive environments. It’s ideal for handling acids, alkalis, and solvents where traditional elastomer seats would degrade.

Stainless steel provides excellent mechanical strength, resistance to corrosion, and hygienic surface properties. It’s suitable for industries such as chemical processing, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals where cleanliness and durability are vital.

The Actreg actuator operates using compressed air to rotate the valve disc 90 degrees for open or closed positions. Available in both double-acting and spring-return configurations, it delivers reliable performance and long operational life.

PTFE-lined valves feature a full lining on the internal surfaces for enhanced corrosion resistance, while PTFE-seated valves only use PTFE on the seat area. Lined versions provide superior protection in highly corrosive chemical environments.

PTFE-lined valves generally handle temperatures from -20°C to +180°C, depending on pressure and media. Pressure ratings typically range from PN10 to PN16, but exact limits vary by size and manufacturer specification.

They are ideal for chemical plants, acid transfer lines, water treatment systems, pharmaceutical facilities, and marine applications where chemical resistance and compact design are crucial.

The wafer pattern allows easy installation between flanges, offering a lightweight, compact, and cost-effective solution compared to lug or flanged types. It’s perfect for systems requiring quick maintenance or replacement.

Maintenance typically includes periodic inspection of the PTFE lining and actuator components, ensuring air supply quality and verifying seal integrity. PTFE-lined designs require minimal servicing due to their non-stick and corrosion-resistant surface.

Optional accessories include limit switch boxes, solenoid valves, air filter regulators, and positioners for advanced control and feedback in automated systems.

4-20mA Control Available On This Product

The BLX V100E Series is an Electro-Pneumatic control unit that allows the Actuator to incrementally adjust the Valve's position between the fully open and closed cycle. Product variants are available for spring return and double acting setups with feedback and safety settings. Ask our team today about how the V100E can help with your process requirements.

Non Toxic FDA Approved PTFE

The wafer-pattern concentric design incorporates a non-toxic PTFE internal seal that extends slightly over the outer body, ensuring a tight and secure seal against the counter flanges. This construction eliminates any risk of cross-contamination while delivering exceptional chemical and solvent resistance, maintaining complete insolubility at temperatures up to 300°C.

Engineered Shaft Design

The one-piece shaft design provides excellent strength and stability while allowing direct mounting of actuation assemblies. This configuration completely isolates the fluid from both the shaft and valve body, removing the need for a custom mounting kit and reducing both installation time and cost.

Streamlined Butterfly Valve Discs

Greater CV Potential & Less Pipe Space

TTV’s streamlined discs produce a much greater Cv than other butterfly valves on the market resulting in low-pressure drops and reduced energy costs while maintaining a bi-directional zero leakage seal when in the closed position. Low operational torque and reduced friction reduces the costs of gear, pneumatic and electric actuation whilst extending the life of the valve seal. A silicone elasticised gasket facilitates the valve sealing.

For applications which require abrasion resistance the option of a UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight-Polyethylene) is available for this particular butterfly valve.

Less space, results in less material, bringing significantly lower costs in the process. As part of Isolation applications, our valves can be fully open or fully closed with quarter turn movement (90 Degrees) of the functioning lever or actuator. When closed, the reliable seal and disc can provide 100% leak tight downstream shutoff and low-pressure loss across the valve when opened through a streamlined, energy saving metallic disc. These types of valves can also be used to regulate flow pressure or temperature through a multi-position lockable lever or 4-20mA 3-15 psi control.

Actuated Butterfly Valves are available in both pneumatic and electric operation and can be beneficial for use in remotely accessed areas, valves that require larger torque figures to operate, timing or synchronisation and reliability. Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valves provide the quickest form of operational control for open/close functionality and are available in both double acting and spring return units with either direct/solenoid operation. Spring Return units can be set up in a fail-safe closed mode for critical lines were the Valve will return to the closed position upon the event of power failure through the loaded springs. Fail-safe open Valves are also available upon request.
