NF8327B102 Installation
The ASCO NF8327B102 Solenoid Valve offers versatile manual control options for user convenience and safety. It comes with two different manual operation modes: a push-type spring return, indicated by the suffix MO, and a screw-type manually return, marked as MS. With the push-type MO option, users can easily switch the valve to the "ON" position by pushing the button, and upon release, it returns to the "OFF" position. Conversely, the screw-type MS allows users to turn the knob clockwise to manually engage the valve in the "ON" position and counterclockwise to return it to the "OFF" position. Furthermore, the valve features a No Voltage Release (NVR) mechanism, ensuring that the valve remains inoperative when the solenoid is energised alone. To activate the valve in the "ON" position, one must energise the solenoid and briefly push the button, latching it in place. In the event of an electrical power interruption, the valve will unlatch, automatically returning to the "OFF" position for added safety.
For additional flexibility, an adapter compatible with under-pressure removable operators MO and MS, in accordance with TPL-26710, is available. This adapter allows for easy removal of the operator and reinstallation, keeping the system pressurised as needed while enabling operators MO and MS to function as described above. For Ex db Prefix "NF/WSNF/WSCR" enclosures, a 1/2" NPT threaded entry hole is provided, with M20 x 1.5 (prefix "ET") available as an option, although cable glands are not included. Additionally, all DC solenoids with metal enclosures come equipped with switch-off peak voltage suppression diodes. To meet the requirements of IEC 61508 (SIL), the valves must be fitted with a specific exhaust protector, as illustrated on page 6, or an equivalent alternative.
