and AVC have seen large quantities of electric actuated ball valves passing through the workshop over the last eighteen months, but nothing compared of the last two due to changes of legislation in The Marine Industrie. Engine room fire protection changes coming in at the end of September 2005 have made the shipping industry wake up to the installation of such local application systems prior to this date. Avc are currently processing the Isle Of Man's Mersey Viking, Liverpool Viking, Stena Sea Trader and Searider. Allready supplied in June were units to RFA Sir Tristtram, Merchent Dawn, Brave Midnight and Northern ships, with orders still coming in. To date AVC have supplied over 900 units for these sytems.
