In 2004 AVC recieved a 250K order for the Type 45 Destroyers. Working in conjunction with Wormald Marine and BAE AVC supplied a sample package for a shock test by the M.O.D. The unit supplied was subject to 70 Gvertical and 40G horizontal test over a period of time and sailed through with flying colours.

The valves were designed and built in house for the ships high pressure fire system and contained products from Starline, Camtorc and RotorkValveKits. This is not the first time this product was supplied to the M.O.D by AVC but the first to be subject to shock testing. Previously these units were developed and installed by AVC on both Bulwark and Albion Naval LPD's now in service around the world.
