Asahi America Electric Valve Actuators Quarter Master

The quarter master electric actuator is designed for small bore ball and butterfly valves and offers a lower cost alternative to heavy duty aluminium units. The series 94 Asahi is equipped with a thermally protected and bi-directional capacitor run motor and permanently lubricated gear train. The Zytel FR50 engineered resin housing also features a distinctive manual override and visual position indication.

Key Features

Key features and benefits Asahi Electric Quarter Master Valve Actuators.
1

Key Features

The Asahi electric actuator has Standard end of travel limit switches which offer open and closed indication to detect when an actuator has reached its limit of travel. The standard limit switch is designed to provide a simple two position indication.
2

Key Features

The Asahi Electric Actuator has an advanced piece of technology that will protect your motor from overheating when it detects overload conditions. This actuator features automatic reset and integral thermal protection for the windings, preventing possible damage.
3

Key Features

Asahi electric actuators are provided with gear trains pre-lubricated at the factory prior to despatch. The specially formulated lubricant offers extended life cycles whilst also covering a wide range of temperature options for various ambient and operating requirements, as well as reducing wear.

Actuated Valve Testing & Calibration

All actuated valve assemblies are fully tested and calibrated in house prior to packing and shipping from our expert team of technical engineers. This means that when they arrive at site, you're immediately ready to install and get your production back up and running.

Asahi Quarter Master Electric Actuators

The Asahi actuator (Electric) range have been in service now for over 30 years with the series 94 (Quarter Master) model leading the automation way for reliable small and medium bore valve actuation and quite quickly being recognised as a world leading manufacturer.

The quarter master electric actuator is designed for small bore ball and butterfly valves and offers a lower cost alternative to heavy duty aluminium units. The series 94 Asahi is equipped with a thermally protected and bi-directional capacitor run motor and permanently lubricated gear train.

The Zytel FR50 engineered resin housing also features a distinctive declutchable manual override and visual position indication. With a simple push down on the handle you are able to override the valve position in the event of a power failure to the desired position (CCW for open, CW for close). A fail safe battery backup can be added at point of order desired for critical applications where they manual override may not be sufficient.

Two end of travel (SPDT) 15 amp limit switches are fitted as standard for valve position feedback (Not PLC) with additional options including a potentiometer.

A range of voltages include 110VAC, 230VAC, 24VDC, 12VDC & 24VAC and cycle times operating at 5 seconds dependent on temperature and media. The compact quarter master offers torque outputs to a maximum of 34NM (300 in/lbs).

The Asahi actuator (Electric) range have been in service now for over 30 years with the series 92 (Master Chief) & 94 (Quarter Master) models leading the automation way for this worldwide, leading manufacturer.

Torque ranges of 15NM for your small bore valves all the way up to 225NM with the Master Chief, this Asahi actuator certainly lives up to its name! Available Voltages include 12/24/120/240 AC 50/60Hz & 12/24Vdc.

Two types of corrosion resistant housing with Zytel FR50 Engineered resin & a Thermally Bonded Baked Powder Coating will give you all the options you need for any hazardous area issues you may come across for your application. Couple this with a rating up to and including NEMA 9 (Minimum NEMA 4X standard) the Asahi actuator delivers a reliable, long-standing unit you can basically fit & forget.

Highly Visible Position Indicators as you will be able to see in the pictures below enable the user to quickly check the position of the Valve, even from a distance. End travel limit switches can also be used for light indication. Both the series 92 (Master Chief) & 94 (Quarter Master) come with Declutchable Manual Overrides & Failsafe battery backup as standard, giving you peace of mind that the Valve will return to its setup up position in the event of a power failure and can still be manually operated should this be required.

Benefits of Asahi Actuators

There are many benefits to using an Asahi Electric Actuator over your standard Pneumatic Actuators. This can include high maintenance and running costs of airline equipment and difficulty of installation in remote areas. Cold temperatures can also be damaging for Air Supply Lines and hence affect the reliability of the valve.

Both the Series 92 & 94 Series are available from stock in the UK @ Actuation Valve & Control Ltd and can offer a same day size, assemble & testing service with the Valve of your choice as you will be able to see in the pictures above. It is also worth noting the Asahi Electric Actuators are UL approved.
